Hello - we think we might have discovered a cure for that horrible "oh-it's-Monday-morning-and-worse-than-that-the-clocks-went-back-so-actually-it's-6am-and-not-really-7am-oh-and-my-throat-is-sore-and-look-at-that-spot-on-my-chin" thing. Do you get that? Or is that just us? Anyway, yes there is a cure and this is it....
Yes that's right - a mahoooosive box of charm packs. Yum yum yum! Now while we were wallowing around in these like baby hippos in a mud pool* it suddenly struck us that we'd done a bit of a charm pack type pattern a while back and it has sat quietly waiting for it's moment of glory! So if you fancy it, you're more than welcome to have a go at our free charm pack tote pattern. This is what the finished result looks like. Or, in true Blue Peter style, here's two we made earlier...
If you click on the image on the tool bar on the left, there's a link to get the pattern. It's ever so easy and the bag is nice and roomy enough to shove safely store your ongoing projects in. Super duper. Anyway, we hope you enjoy it and of course we'd love to hear how you get on with it!

*Please note, no charm packs were harmed during the "wallowing" process.

I hope you manage to do more than drool and wallow. So far I have actually opened one Jelly Roll and made a couple of blocks from it.
Nell's garden charm blocks x 3 or 4 pks have been made into a top, somewhere in my blog. Yet to iron and put borders on and I think have it quilted. It would be easy enough to quilt but it quite large, so think I might treat myself.

Oh I'll just HAVE to get some more charm packs now - my stash is lacking ANYTHING suitable to use hahaha....that bag is simply STUNNING - and I could use it for shopping instead of plastic bags, so hubby would be impressed that I was trying to help the envirment too!!

There's something about charm packs that are soooo appealing! I've had great success with my charm square patterns and I think your tote bags are adorable!

Wow, I didn't now you also have a blogg... Like it!
A few months ago I ordered some pattern from your shop. Loved them but mostly the way you wrapped it. It was as I were taking a gift by post. Again thanks. And again, love the shop and your blog.
Greetings, lisette.

Thank you for the gorgeous pattern, I'm going to have fun looking for charm packs on e-bay.
Are those squares hand-sewn or machine sewn? I would think a machine sewn tote would be stronger. Would it be alright to machine sew all the squares together for each row and then hand sew the rows together to make sure the corners match?

This is a wonderful tote bag! Fun and easy. Really big. Great for carrying stuff to quilting classes and retreats. Terri
